At Silver Regional SASS & CAC, we understand that trauma can strike at any moment, and the immediate aftermath of an assault or crisis can leave survivors feeling overwhelmed, vulnerable, and uncertain of where to turn. Our Crisis Response services are designed to provide immediate support to survivors in the critical moments following trauma, ensuring that no one has to face these challenges alone.
Our confidential, round-the-clock hotline is available for survivors and their loved ones in need of immediate support. Whether you’re looking for a listening ear, information on available resources, or urgent assistance, we are here for you—any time of day or night.
Our trained crisis counselors are ready to respond quickly to those in need. We offer direct support to survivors in the hours and days following an assault, helping to stabilize emotions and provide resources to navigate the next steps. From safety planning to emotional support, we guide survivors through the initial stages of recovery.
Our advocates are available to provide guidance through medical, legal, and law enforcement systems. We ensure that survivors are informed of their options and rights, helping them make decisions that are in their best interest. Advocacy services include accompanying survivors to medical appointments, law enforcement interviews, and court proceedings, offering support every step of the way.
We work closely with Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANEs), who are specially trained healthcare professionals skilled in providing comprehensive medical care to survivors of sexual assault. SANEs conduct forensic exams, collecting evidence in a manner that preserves the integrity of the survivor's case while ensuring their safety and well-being. These exams are offered with sensitivity and respect, and SANEs play a vital role in helping survivors heal while assisting in the legal process.
We offer on-site advocacy and support for survivors at hospitals, law enforcement agencies, or other locations where immediate intervention is needed. Our team provides a safe, compassionate presence to help navigate the trauma and logistical aspects of the situation.
Survivors may face threats of ongoing violence or danger following an assault. Our crisis counselors work with survivors to create personalized safety plans, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to remain safe and protected during the immediate aftermath.
