Join our diverse group of volunteer advocates for professional development, education, community outreach, empowerment, and to change the lives of local survivors of sexual assault.
Silver Regional Sexual Assault Support Services’ volunteer advocates accompany survivors to the hospital in emergencies, provide support and encouragement at legal hearings, and provide advice and help via our crisis hotline. They also go to our community outreach events, help with fundraising, and attend monthly meetings and training opportunities to further develop their skills.
We host our 40-hour volunteer advocacy training every spring and fall.
If you’re interested in becoming a local super hero, please contact our Advocacy and Crisis Coordinator, Chelsea Cooper.
