Cindy Livingston received her Master’s in Counseling from Southwestern College in Santa Fe, NM in April 2012. She acquired her LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor) in August 2012 and is also a Licensed School Counselor as of July 2014. Some of Cindy’s background includes extensive training on how to work with children experiencing grief and working with children while providing appropriate support for children in grief over the death of a family member.
Cindy has also previously worked at the Santa Fe Recovery Center (providing services and facilitating recovery groups). While working part-time at Santa Fe Recovery Center, Cindy alsoworked full time running a school wide counseling program. Since becoming a part of Sexual Assault Support Services, Cindy has also garnered training on how to work with victims of sexual violence. She uses her experiences to improve the lives of her client(s) and families. The respect she has for her clients is evident at all times through the services she provides and she is always willing to put in the extra work to help clients achieve success. The techniques and strategies she uses are highly effective and are one of her numerous strengths as a therapist.
